FAQ

Why did you decide to become a wedding photographer?

I have chosen to photograph weddings because I feel that party-goers transmit a positive and contagious energy. It is more rewarding to chronicle an event than to do still-life photography.

How would you define your style?

I like to define it as “perfectly imperfect”.
As a photographer of weddings and events the stolen image is at the root of my approach. But, thanks to my experience in commercial and still-life photography, if I find situations that are esthetically unpleasing I try to improve on them in a non-invasive way, with your blessing.

Do you also work outside of the Piedmont region?

I work in all of Italy and have had the opportunity of working in beautiful places like Venice, Rome, Cinque Terre, Portofino, Orvieto, Naples, Sorrento, Ischia, Capri, Milan, and on the lakes Maggiore, Orta, Como and Garda. I have worked abroad in Monte Carlo and on the French Riviera.

Do you work alone?

I usually work with an assistant. However, if your event will be held in numerous locations or with a large number of guests I would advise an addittional photographer.

How many hours of work do you put in?

As many as it takes. If you wish to hold an extended wedding, spread over a number of festive days, we can arrange this contractually and quantify our fee and retainer accordingly.

Will you take family portraits during a wedding?

If you wish. We can decide together which ones to take and where.

How can I reserve your services?

Please contact me to fix an appointment. It will be necessary to know the details of your wedding and your specific needs.
We will ask you a retainer equal to 30% of the total cost.

How far in advance do we need to take up contact?

The sooner the better, some periods of the year can be reserved up to a year in advance. You can always contact me at the last moment and we will be happy to work with you if we are free.

What do you need to prepare a photo shoot?

I advise a detailed meeting to explore your specific wishes and needs, which in turn will help in planning my itinerary of the event.

Do you do post-production*?

Yes, if by post-production you refer to a sober and elegant revision of the pictures that will compose your album. I usually do meticulous post-production work on all photos selected without distorting anybody’s appearance, including signs of tiredness.
I usually touch up photos with a light hand in order to retain a natural feel.

How long will it take to see the first proofs?

That will depend on the time of year. Usually around 4-5 weeks after the event you will receive a DVD with around 800 photos, together with a short-list selection aimed at your needs of around 150 photos.
It can take some time to select from a large pool of photos as it is an important task which can be difficult at times.

Do you provide high-resolution files of your photos?

It has been some time that I provide all the original photos in high resolution, as well as those that have been selected and touched up.
NB: Many people ask me if they can opt out of the high resolution photos in exchange for a discount. This is possible.

Who will select the photos?

Well, there is big NEWS on this topic!
Since 2013 I have decided to to expedite and improve our production and present you with a selection of around 150 photos.
You can always change one, all or none of the photos, although usually a trusted photographer’s suggestions are readily and serenely accepted.

Do you offer services other than the albums?

Yes, we can print the photos you want in any size on chemical based photographic paper, on canvas and on FINE ART cotton paper.
We can also mount your photos on modern and elegant panels.

Can friends or family contribute to the cost of the photos?

Sure! We can set up a wedding list. What present is better than marvelous photographic memories?

What guarantees does a client receive?
